How can we help a gym thrive when the doors are closed?
With gyms shutting worldwide in March 2020, BLOK needed to pivot to stay relevant and remain profitable. Our mission: transform BLOK's unique, art-inspired fitness experience into a captivating online platform (in just eight weeks!)
BLOK, rooted in fine art, design, and fashion, needed an online format matching their physical spaces' energy. We launched BLOKtv, offering “a studio experience, anytime and anywhere” with on-demand and live streamed classes.
We developed a strategy for super fast content creation to ensure no ground was lost. Collaborating with BLOK’s Creative Director, Max Oppenheim, we quickly organised 29 shoot days across Clapton, Shoreditch, and Manchester sites.
We utilised a multi-camera setup to maximise production value whilst adhering to strict social distancing restrictions. With a fast-paced editing process that led to over 357 on-demand classes with over 11,000 active users within 8 weeks.
Our work with BLOK not only mitigated revenue declines but also expanded their reach. BLOKtv now offers a seamless offline and online experience, allowing members to train at home or in the studio. We transformed BLOK into a resilient, innovative fitness brand ready to thrive in any environment.
